Buying artwork

Can I see an artwork in person before buying it?

Absolutely. You're very welcome to visit Otte at 29 High Street in Falmouth.

If you're interested in a particular artwork, feel free to contact us before visiting and we'll make sure it's available to view.

Can I reserve an artwork?

We can usually reserve an artwork for 24 hours.

If you've got your eye on something, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Yes. We can arrange international delivery for many artworks.

Shipping costs depend on the artwork and destination. For larger or more specialist works, please email hello@ottegallery.co.uk with the artwork you're interested in and your delivery address and we'll provide a quote.

Please note that international customers may be responsible for customs duties and import taxes.

Can I collect my purchase from the gallery?

Yes. You're welcome to collect artwork from Otte in Falmouth.

Please contact us in advance so we can have your artwork safely prepared.

How is artwork packaged?

Every artwork is carefully packaged according to its size, material and value.

Smaller works and objects are generally sent using tracked delivery services, while larger or higher-value works may be delivered by specialist art couriers.

What happens if my artwork arrives damaged?

Please contact us as soon as possible at hello@ottegallery.co.uk and send photographs of the artwork and packaging.

Please keep the original packaging until we've resolved the issue.

What is Own Art?

Otte is proud to be part of the Own Art scheme, which makes it possible to spread the cost of purchasing original artwork through interest-free finance, subject to the scheme's eligibility and terms.

Can I use Own Art to buy artwork online?

Own Art arrangements may depend on the artwork, purchase value and how the sale is processed.

If you're interested in using Own Art, please contact us before purchasing and we'll be happy to talk you through the options.

Is framing included?

If an artwork is shown on the website as framed, the frame is included in the listed price.

If an artwork is unframed, the frame is not included.

If you'd like advice on framing, we're happy to recommend suitable options and local framers.

Are the artists local?

Many of the artists we work with are based in Cornwall, while others are based elsewhere in the UK.

A shared interest in place, landscape, material and a considered approach to making connects much of the work we show.

Can I commission an artwork?

We work with selected artists on commissions.

If you have an idea for a particular artwork, size, colour palette or space, get in touch and we can start a conversation.

Do you offer help choosing artwork?

Yes.

Whether you're looking for something for a particular room, working on an interior project or simply looking for a piece that feels right, we're happy to help.

Do you offer curation or art sourcing?

Yes.

We work with private clients, collectors and interior designers to source and place artwork in homes and other spaces.

If you're working on a project, get in touch and tell us a little about the space and what you're looking for.

How do I enquire about exhibiting at Otte?

We welcome introductions from artists.

Please send a short introduction along with examples or a link to your work to hello@ottegallery.co.uk.

We receive a large number of submissions, so while we appreciate every enquiry, we're not always able to respond individually.

How often do exhibitions change?

Our exhibition programme changes regularly, generally around every six weeks.

Alongside exhibitions, we regularly receive new work and collections from the artists we represent.

The best way to keep up with what's happening at Otte is through our website and mailing list.

How do you pronounce Otte?

Everyone says it differently, and we love that.

The name comes from the Cornish “ottena”, meaning to look or notice
